Do you ever wake up on Monday morning and wonder, where did the weekend go? I mean its like in a blink of an eye Friday turns into Monday. Of course, it makes me groan and say "ugh" as I get the kids up for school. Well, in the spirit of disciplining my mind to focus on the positive in 2016, I decided to meditate "om", and create a visual weekend rewind in my mind and virtually.
This little activity has proven to make me change my perspective when it comes to the beginning of the week. First of all, as I look back on these photos I realize that I made great use of my time. I finished the work week strong with a fantastic workout, a few great meetings, and a glass of wine... Yessss! Secondly, I spent some quality time with my family and enjoyed great food and of course an exciting Pelicans win.. whoop whoop!
Lastly, I was able to attend church with my kids and take what my husband called a 4 and 1/2 hour nap...WINNING! I woke up refreshed and finished the evening with a meal with my family and extra time to prepare for the looming Monday. I honestly think that I kicked this weekends butt! So guess what? I was excited when Monday arrived because I thought about all that I accomplished in 72 hours. I can only imagine what I can accomplish in 5 or 6 days.
